Festival Season in CEE: Euro Jet’s Guide for Summer 2025
Summer has arrived and the Festival Season is about to begin. To keep up with the many cultural events taking place throughout July and August, we have prepared a short guide to those music and film festivals that are expected to have the biggest impact on the business aviation traffic at airports across Central and Eastern Europe. Euro Jet is also proud to introduce our dedicated on-the-ground teams who are ready to support your flights at these locations.

Czech Republic: KVIFF & Colors of Ostrava
For the 59th time, the world-renowned Karlovy Vary International Film Festival will kick off the festival season in the Czech Republic. Headlined by the legendary Michael Douglas, the festival will take place in the charming Western Bohemian spa town from July 4 to 12, 2025.
Karlovy Vary Airport (LKKV/KLV) is located just 10km outside the city center and serves as the ideal arrival point at the festival. Euro Jet runs its own complimentary VIP lounge at the airport equipped with comfortable sofas and computer workstation. Our dedicated team led by Country Manager, Vlastimil Sovak will be happy to welcome your crew there as well as assist with other ground services. Due to high demand during the film festival, we recommend completing your hotel booking and ordering your catering as soon as your schedule is confirmed.
The second biggest event of the Czech festival season, the Colors of Ostrava music festival, follows shortly after the KVIFF from July 16 to 19, 2025. Next to unforgettable concerts – this year by Sting, Iggy Pop, and many others, the festival offers four days filled with art, discussion forums, theatre, and films.
Leos Janacek Ostrava Airport (LKMT/OSR) is located 30 minutes away from the festival venue in Dolni Vitkovice. Our local Ground Service Coordinators, Petr Bohm and Petr Osterezy are there to help with any requests upon your arrival in Ostrava. Due to limited accommodation options, we advise our customers to secure their hotel reservations as soon as possible.
Serbia: EXIT
The award-winning EXIT music festival celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and promises to do so in a great style. From July 10 to 13, 2025, more than 1000 artists including The Prodigy and Sex Pistols will perform at over 40 stages in the iconic Petrovaradin Fortress in the city of Novi Sad.
Located in the northern part of Serbia, it takes approximately one hour to reach Novi Sad from Belgrade Airport (LYBE/BEG) in the country’s capital. The team of our Country Manager, Strahinja Djordjevic is there to assist with every aspect of your flight upon arrival and before departure. Euro Jet has also an office at the airport for your crew to unwind or get some work done. Based on our team’s experience from previous years, we recommend our customers reach out to us for hotel bookings and available parking positions at their earliest convenience.
Hungary: Sziget
In the first half of August, Budapest will be traditionally overtaken by the Sziget music festival. Over 100 nationalities all the way from Brazil or New Zealand will gather on the Island of Freedom from August 6 to 11, 2025 for one of Hungary’s largest events of the year.
Based out of Budapest’s Ferenc Liszt International Airport (LHBP/BUD), Euro Jet’s team led by Country Manager, Peter Pazurek has many years of experience supporting flights for high-profile events. Whether you are chartering a flight for the performers or for VIP festival guests, the team will ensure their smooth arrival and departure in Budapest. As in previous years, having precise information on the number of passengers as well as the amount of luggage and music equipment on board will help the team properly organize all the services required for each flight. We therefore encourage our customers to share this information with us in advance of the flight operation.
Kosovo: Sunny Hill Festival
Founded by Kosovo’s global superstar Dua Lipa in 2018, the Sunny Hill Festival quickly became the largest music event in the country and one of the biggest in South-Eastern Europe. Held in its now permanent location of the Sunny Hill Festival Park in Pristina from August 1 to 3, 2025, it is expected to bring together 100,000 festival goers to dance to the rhythm of Dua Lipa, Shawn Mendes, Peggy Gou, and other international stars.
Euro Jet’s Country Manager for Albania and Kosovo, Behare Hallaqi and Ground Service Coordinator, Fehmi Mustafa are ready to welcome flights related to the festival at Pristina Airport (BKPR/PRN). Our complimentary crew office, located conveniently in the vicinity of the airport’s VIP lounge, will also be at our customers’ disposal. If you would like to learn more about Euro Jet’s set-up in both Kosovo and Albania as well as about the countries’ booming business aviation, give a read to this insightful interview with Behare.
Romania: Untold
Ever since winning the Best Major Festival in the European Festival Awards 2015, Untold has become one of the largest electronic music festivals worldwide, attracting close to half a million visitors in 2024. Its 10th edition will be held from August 7 to 10, 2025 in the city of Cluj-Napoca in the Transylvania region of Romania.
Cluj-Napoca Airport (LRCL/CLJ) is conveniently located only 10km away from the festival venue in the Cluj Arena. Euro Jet’s Ground Service Coordinator, Christian Simon, supervised by our Country Manager for Romania, Daniel Ruiu, is stationed at the airport and ready to deliver a hassle-free experience for our customers arriving to Cluj-Napoca for the festival.
Slovakia: LOVESTREAM
At the height of summer, the Old Vajnory Airport in Bratislava will again become scene to Slovakia’s capital’s biggest music festival. From August 15 to 17, 2025, over 100,000 fans are expected to get together for the 4th edition of the LOVESTREAM festival headlined this year by One Republic and Post Malone.
Located 6km and an eight-minute drive away from the festival venue, Bratislava’s M. R. Stefanik Airport (LZIB/BTS) is ideal for arrivals and departures to and from the event. Whether you opt for accommodation close to the airport or decide to stay 15 minutes away in downtown Bratislava, we suggest completing your hotel reservation as soon as possible. Our team of Ground Service Coordinators, Lenka Glasova and Eva Dureckova together with Country Manager, Filip Klimko will be happy to assist with any detail on the ground to ensure your successful trip to Slovakia.
Bosnia and Herzegovina: Sarajevo Film Festival
For a week from August 15 to 22, 2025, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina will host its annual flagship event, the Sarajevo Film Festival. As the largest event of its kind in Southeast Europe, the Festival connects the regional film community with international producers and celebrates their achievements. This year, the acclaimed Italian director Paolo Sorrentino will receive the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo award, and a retrospective of his films will be included in the festival line-up.
At Sarajevo Airport (LQSA/SJJ), our customers’ flights will be greeted by Euro Jet’s Country Manager, Aida Selimovic and Ground Service Coordinator, Nino Ninic. The crew are invited to make use of our own complimentary VIP lounge located on the second floor of the main terminal. As hotel facilities tend to book out quickly for this occasion, we recommend arranging your accommodation well before arrival.
