The 21st Bled Strategic Forum will take place in Bled, Slovenia, on August 31 and September 1, 2026. The event brings together international delegations and visitors to the country for one of the region’s leading diplomatic and policy gatherings. Flying to Ljubljana for the Bled Strategic Forum
Ljubljana Airport (LJLJ/LJU) is the most convenient arrival point for flights arriving in Slovenia for the Forum. Located approximately 35 km from Bled, it is around 30-40 minutes by car from the venue, depending on traffic.

Operational Recommendations for Ljubljana Airport
Operators planning flights to Ljubljana during the Forum are encouraged to submit handling and parking requests as early as possible. Apron capacity is currently reduced due to construction, and most available stands require pushback. Operators may therefore be asked to carry a compatible towbar on board. All parking and handling requests are reviewed individually by the airport operator, and restrictions on schedule changes may apply depending on apron congestion.

This also applies to smaller catering requests such as ice, hot water or coffee, as there is no dedicated catering provider based directly at the airport.
For crew accommodation, hotels are available in nearby Kranj as well as in Ljubljana, around 20-30 minutes from the airport. A crew lounge is available at the airport for short stays, but capacity is limited, particularly during busy periods, so hotel accommodation is recommended for longer stays.
