Euro Jet is proud to present Isabella Aquino Rocha as the company’s representative in Latin America. Based in Brazil, Isabella is responsible for overseeing Euro Jet’s regional partnerships and ensuring premium-quality ground support for our customers’ flights across Central and South America. Her profound understanding of the regional business aviation industry contributes to the success of flight operations in this rapidly developing yet still challenging environment. We also bring you trip support updates for the high-profile events coming up in Brazil in November, particularly the Grand Prix in Sao Paulo.

Deep Knowledge and Widespread Network

Isabella’s aviation journey began in 2016 when she started her Aeronautical Science studies and pilot training. During an internship, she had the opportunity to look behind the scenes and became fascinated by the operations side of aviation. Since then, she has worked in many different areas of aviation that includes charter consultant, commercial executive, dispatcher, flight coordinator, and team supervisor. At the same time, she took courses in aviation security and airline and airport administration, completed flight attendant training, and further developed her skills in crisis management and people management. Thanks to working on virtually every type of flight during the pandemic – including aeromedical flights, repatriation flights, and even several around-the-world trips – Isabella gained a full understanding of what a flight operation needs – from the client’s first request to the engine shutdown and safe disembarkation of passengers and crew.

Over the course of her career, Isabella has also had the opportunity to become familiar with airports and suppliers across the entire Latin American region. She has accumulated in-depth knowledge of the restrictions, regulations, procedures, and available options at various locations. Together with the network of contacts she has successfully built, she is well-positioned to identify and secure the right partners and determine the best course of action for each type of flight operation, including executive, charter, commercial, and military.

In her current role at Euro Jet, Isabella oversees our regional partnerships and ensures we are ready to offer a full range of ground support services at airports from Mexico down to Argentina and Chile. This involves analyzing all available vendors for handling, permits, catering, and transportation, and selecting those who meet Euro Jet’s high standards of safety, efficiency, and quality. Based in Nova Serrana, Brazil, she is strategically located near several major domestic and international airports allowing her to travel quickly whenever the need arises. Additionally, being in the same time zone gives Isabella a great advantage when communicating with local partners.

Isabella works closely with our 24/7 Operations Control Center making sure the team is always informed about the latest operational restrictions and requirements, allowing for smooth and accurate operations throughout the region. She is also the point of contact for our Latin American customers on their flights to Europe and other worldwide destinations, helping them overcome language barriers and guiding them through the specifics of operating in various locations.

High-Potential Market with a Regional Twist

Over the past few years, the general aviation industry in Latin America has been continuously expanding and is projected to grow further. The growing demand for business aviation and charter flights is closely linked to increased economic and corporate activity throughout the region. Brazil and Mexico now dominate the list of countries with the most registered private jets, ranking second and third respectively only behind the United States.

While the LATAM market offers immense opportunities for investment, innovation, and business partnerships, there are also region-specific challenges for operating an aircraft in this part of the world. According to Isabella, one of the key points to consider is the regulatory differences between countries: “Each country has its own rules which can be very different from and are often stricter than those in Europe or the United States. Health-related requirements, for example, can be quite specific and include mandatory aircraft disinfection, vaccination certificates, and restrictions on food and certain types of cargo.” She also points out the language barrier: “In many locations, English is not widely spoken among local providers, which can create communication challenges.”

Infrastructure is another crucial factor with a huge impact on flight operations. As Isabella explains, there is an urgent need for digitalization and the adoption of new technologies: “Unfortunately, many countries in Latin America still rely on outdated infrastructure, with critical processes often carried out in analog formats. For example, flight plans are still submitted on paper in some locations.” It is also important to remember that the level of infrastructure development varies across the region: “While some airports offer premium facilities and services, others are limited in fuel availability, ground handling, or catering.”

For Isabella, these challenges highlight why working with a reliable trip support company with a local representative is essential to a flight’s success: “This is exactly where we step in – we verify every aspect of the operation, make sure every detail is clearly understood despite any language differences, provide our customers with reliable oversight, and ensure that all services meet the highest standards.”

Euro Jet is ready to assist with flights related to the Brazilian Grand Prix taking place on November 7-9 in Sao Paulo.

Upcoming Events: Brazilian Grand Prix, and more

In November, Brazil will take center stage in hosting high-profile events, including the Brazilian Grand Prix on November 7-9 in Sao Paulo and the UN Climate Change Conference later that month in Belem. Euro Jet is ready to assist with flights related to both these events, with Isabella serving as the main point of contact taking care of our customers and all their requests.

At all three international airports near Sao Paulo – Guarulhos (SBGR/GRU), Viracopos-Campinas (SBKP/VCP), and Catarina Executive (SBJH) – our customers will have access to the full range of ground support services. These include ground handling, flight planning, fuel, permits, catering, crew accommodation, and transportation.

No special restrictions have been announced for any of these airports in relation to the Grand Prix, and standard visa entry procedures will apply to both passengers and crew. Though slots may be imposed with short notice, they are not needed at this time – however, customers must request apron space prior to arrival at all locations. Due to heavy traffic at all three airports, parking requests must be submitted well in advance to avoid any last-minute complications.

If repositioning becomes necessary, there are several alternate airports nearby: Campo dos Amarais (SDAM/CPQ), Campo de Marte (SBMT/RTE), and Sorocaba (SDCO/SOD) are all good alternatives. Through the network of our trusted local partners, Euro Jet can support your flights at any of these locations. We do recommend avoiding Congonhas (SBSP/CGH), however, as local restrictions significantly limit general aviation operations at this airport.

More information on flight operations in Belem connected to the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference will follow shortly. For assistance, questions or any requests, please reach out to our Sales Team or our 24/7 OCC.
