World Nomad Games 2026: Euro Jet Ready to Support Flights to Kyrgyzstan
The sixth World Nomad Games will take place in Kyrgyzstan from August 31 to September 6, 2026, with competitions held in Bishkek and the Issyk-Kul Region. Euro Jet’s local operation in Kyrgyzstan together with our 24/7 Operations Control Center is ready to support flights connected with this major international sporting and cultural event.
Established in Kyrgyzstan in 2014, the World Nomad Games celebrate and preserve the sporting traditions and cultural heritage of nomadic peoples. The 2026 edition is expected to welcome delegations from more than 90 countries. Its extensive program includes equestrian competitions, national wrestling styles, traditional archery, strength contests and intellectual games such as toguz korgool and mangala, alongside cultural performances and exhibitions.
Airports Serving the World Nomad Games
For operations connected with the Games, the two principal airports are Manas International Airport in Bishkek (UCFM/BSZ) and Issyk-Kul International Airport in Tamchy (UCFL/IKU).
Manas International Airport is Kyrgyzstan’s main aviation gateway and operates 24 hours a day. It is located approximately 30 kilometers north of Central Bishkek with a typical transfer time of around 40 minutes, depending on traffic. It is the most practical option for passengers attending events in the capital and can also serve flights combining Bishkek with the Issyk-Kul program.
Issyk-kul International Airport is the closest international airport to the main lakeside venues. Located near Tamchy, it is about 35 kilometers by road from Cholpon-Ata where several competitions and cultural activities are scheduled. The journey usually takes around 40 minutes, subject to traffic and precise destination.
According to our current operational information, no special aviation regulations have been introduced in connection with the Games. Operations therefore continue under the usual procedures. Euro Jet’s team will monitor all relevant NOTAMs and airport requirements as the event approaches.

Our most important recommendation is to arrange crew accommodation as early as possible. The Games will attract athletes, officials, representatives, and spectators from around the world. At the same time, the summer tourism season will still be active, particularly around Lake Issyk-Kul. Demand for good-quality hotels is therefore expected to be high, with limited availability in the most convenient locations.
